doge think 1060 6gb or 1070 would suffice for that res

ya, what i think also to get 144hz or oc to 166hz

i know 3440x1440 is much sharper more screen estate but i need to spend so much more maybe 1080ti or 2080

2560x1080 is not as sharp but i can save more money without the need of a super high end gfx

or i can get 3440X1440 then when gaming i use 256X1080.

heng i have not buy anything yet so i can slowly decide without regret

for 3440x1440, minimum is 1070Ti, and that's really bare minimum.

well apart from personal viewing, you can look at ppi for visual quality first.

1080p @ 24" = 92ppi

1440p @ 27" = 109ppi

1440p @ 32" = 92ppi

so pixel density will be a side-grade if you switch to 1440p @ 32". doge currently using 1440p @ 27. ok la. not much diff compared to 24", so easy to get used to.

@recon_doge please take note of the X27

a big no

already got my asus, so not upgrading till 4k144 is mainstream, which would probably be another 2 gens down the line, 4yr more?

Recently got Dell U2412M at $210 brand new sealed from unknown reseller source but who cares

Based on box I got warranty till 2019

Ultrasharp series warranty is different. I think it's on-site + advance replacement.

Luckily upon testing all ok.

16:10 superb for documents, compact 24" good for small desks

1920*1200 ok for light gaming. more screen estate, more info.

60hz only, plenty of visible ghosting, so actually its more suitable for playing love games on dating sites

Can movie but not the best since 1080p will have black borders and screen has visible bleed, otherwise IPS screen has good viewing angles

Connection only DVI / VGA / DP since old model but heng my laptop has DP so still relevant.

previously was gonna go for Prism+ 270 $375 but budget constraint and 16:10 is best for work

also at 2K res my 1050ti will likely get asthmatic real fast.

everything is ok but dun get 2560x1080 or 2560x1440 32". you can get 3440x1440 ultra wide, GPU pricing will topple abit soon dun worry. aim for 1070ti @ about 600 and 1080 @ about 700 at carousell (non-palit, non mini)

there a leak, that the new replacement for 1080ti is 1180 and the price will more usd40 more expensive

if you can choose will you get 2560X1440 227inch 144hz or 34inch ultra wide 120hz with cheaper cost in the long run

but price will be kee siao. soon will have GPU surplus so prices should take a nose dive soon... in theory....

here already you can see people selling their 1060 like siao but nobody buy, 1060 3gb already $250 common, so soon in time 1070-1080 'should' follow.

the reason is not planning to work forever, say i just upgrade my system while i am still working and if heng heng the gfx lasted 6 yr later then spoil i will need a new one but if 6 yr later i no job or quit then getting another used$ 700 gfx just for the monitor may seem hard

But if i get a lower res screen, like 1440p even 6yr later it will not be a big hole in my pocket say get a 3$00 to $400 gfx is enough

you budget then stick to 2560x1080p but screen size have to be small, just make sure your ppi dun lose to 1080p @ 24" can liao.

this look good

Global_34GK950F_2018_Feature_02_Intro_D.Global_34GK950F_2018_Feature_13_Ergonomi

some key spec:

Color Depth (Number of Colors):   1.07B or  (8-bit+FRC)

FreeSync 2 (still no match for Nvidia GFX so Gsyn still win)

 144Hz native refresh rate

1ms MPRT

strobed backlight

Nano IPS Panel

the g syn is here with a way different spec due to the old outdated gsyn hardware)
