How much investment do you have in precious metals?

Recommended Posts

Moi hab only about 1% of total assets in silver - almost entirely in historical coins (numismatics) and no bullion except for one Canadian 1-ounce silver maple - and no gold at all. 😕

Some people buy and sell precious metal via banks. There is a bullion shop opposite Clarke Quay Central called Bullionstar that can also sell and buy precious metals, are they a good choice?

Do you keep any precious metals? What is your preferred percentage of precious metals in total assets? 🤔

Moi tot gold is for wealth preservation and hedging, not for big profits. Besides, in SGD terms gold price from 2009 - 2019 appreciated 30+% reh.

nope, but as gold etfs r backed by gold holdings either in the bank of england or swiss national bank etc, international banks r willing to use them as collateral or buy it off u after verification.

the physical gold is either in custody of bank of england or swiss national bank etc. the prospectus of the etf will tell u where the gold is held at and the holdings' detail.

But moi rikes to have a pack of gold sovereigns tucked away rike James Bond's briefcase from Q branch, then walk around gotch wind in Praha cobblestone streets and meet Czech secret agent chiobu at sidewalk cafe, slam down a sovereign to buy her a good beer and bouquet of roses. 😁💐

Then we piakpiak raw in cozy countryside hotel and after moi pewpewpew we sit on bed chatting she puffing a long cigarette but suddenly *pfft* sound from silenced pistol, an assassin tries to shoot us, but moi fast reaction toss a vase at him and we escape out of the bedroom half naked, moi pew juice still running down her thighs. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Legos/collectible toys are atypical investments for normal situations not meant for economy crash mah, that's the job of precious metals.

Though in the very worst case scenario nobody has cash to buy precious metals also, ends up durable necessities such as bottled water and packet noodles may become king (macham prison economy lidat). 🤪
